what was wrong with Bernard Marx?
Bernard is afforded some freedom to be "odd" because he is an Alpha. Still, Bernard exceeds even the label as odd. Lenina discussed Bernard while in bed with Henry. Sex is a recreational thing, like going to Starbucks or something. Henry said Bernard was like a rhinoceros meaning that he was very slow to condition. Bernard has his own ideas about society which frequently oppose the universal ideology. Themes of instant gratification, superficial relationships and disposable everything plague Bernard. This certainly makes him "wrong" in their society.
