what are some things that make their society seem so perfect?

Perfection in this society is contrived and controlled. They have a caste-like system where perfection is limited to a chosen few Alpha "models". This perfection is supported by science and driven by consumerism. People at the top of society must maintain their youthful look. There is nothing that is old. Vanity and disposable relationships are part of this "perfection". Of course all this perfection comes at a cost. There is little sincerity, loyalty, and deep emotion about anyone or anything.
