Bless Me, Ultima

Why do you think Antonio feels that he is seeing his family for the last time when he is only going to school for the day?

In chapter 6 antonio says "i looked at the three of them standing there and i felt that i was seeing them for the last time: Ultima in her wisdom, my mother in her dream, an my father in his rebellion" In the passage above, why do you think he feels he is seeing his fam. for the last time? How does his decroption of the three of them epitomize each ones dominant characteristic?

In Antonio's eyes the world is changing...... thus, he believes that everyone else around him will change also. Note, Antonio doesn't think he is seeing them for the last time..... but rather seeing them the way they really are for the last time.
