In Bless Me Ultima. What was the significance of Antonio's Dream in Chapter 13

When Antonio falls asleep, he dreams of the witches’ black mass and sees the cottonwood coffin. But when he looks inside the coffin, Antonio is horrified to see Ultima’s body. Is there perhaps a little foreshadowing here?
