Explain the significance of the title Bless Me, Ultima.

In chapter 22, Ultima is dying and Antonio asks a last request. He says, (here it comes....) "bless me Ultima" and she obliges. If we dig a bit deeper, the title represents more than Antonio's last request. After her first blessing, Antonio feels like electricity is going through him, it affects hil deeply. Antonio has a thirst for both knowledge and God. Ultima instills a power into Antonio and he embraces it. The title is really a metaphor of Ultima’s spiritual affect on Antonio.
