Hawthorne is a master of balance and suggestion.it is both authors who make their characters very intriquing.to understand the the texture of their tales, one must understand that mellvilee was younger than hawthore and more impressionable.they both wrote so delicatly that some readers cannot what they are reallyntrying to say.But many will see that both did make his power of blackness " very clear.
