Bhagavad-Gita

If the God has fixed our destiny then why do we need to keep doing our karma? Also, if our destiny is fixed then why do we commit sins?

Basically, I wanted to know that God says that He has fixed our destiny and even He wont alter it. Also, He goes on to state that we all should do our karma. If the destiny is fixed, why to do karma? We can very well sit at one place and wait for the destiny to take its turns?

Yikes, is this question totally related to the Gita or a general thing. You might need a theological forum or a Hindu monk site for this one!

As per the knowledge I gained, God has set us free to do Karma and our destiny depends on it. Though for our relief in bad times we blame it everything is prefixed. But out of our hunderds of rebirth Karma's our destiny is built so we just being responsible for own bad times blame it to god.

We can change it as our hindu saints says. it possible.

There are 2 things on which our life is based upon. One is Karma, our fate in this life and the other is Free Will which means how we behave under the assigned fate. How you use your given Free Will will be the cause of your future Karma which may be either good or bad Karma depending on your usage of Free Will. To escape from this bondage of Karma, Self-Realization is the only way, which is attained by developing complete purity in Thought, Word, Deed and constantly meditating upon the Supreme Self.

predestination and free will are highly debatable topic. predestination does not mean that human can not make free choices. its that God knows what will be our choice.

Chapter 3 verse 19

Therefore, without being attached to the results of activities, one should act as a matter of duty; for by working without attachment, one attains the Supreme.

He never said your Destination is Fixed

He said Only Follow His Commands

Second part Of the Question :why do we commit sins ?

If you dont follow his commands By the nature you will do sins

he said "I is the creator of the system if you are in this system follow my commands "
