Once beowulf defeats Grendel’s mother, “A light appeared and the place brightened the way the sky does when heaven’s candle is shining clearly.” Explain the use of traditional symbolism in this passage.

I think this represents the triumph of good vs evil. The traditional symbol of a bright star and light is used to convey God's appreciation of Beowulf's slaying of monsters and darkness.
