The narrator had two clerks, Nippers and Turkey and one office boy Ginger Nut. Turkey is a morning person and Nippers is an afternoon person, so basically the narrator gets one full day of work between the two. Ginger Nut is most likely the most intelligent of the three, the workings of the office represent the waste and misguided resources on Wall Street every day.
