Wedding is great Juno’s crown,

O blessèd bond of board and bed.

'Tis Hymen peoples every town.

High wedlock then be honorèd.

Honor, high honor, and renown,

To Hymen, god of every town.

It states the meaning of the vows of matrimony; partnership, the bearing of children, and the honor of the couple above all else. Most importantly it denotes the expectations that marriage itself be honored.
