What character is described with wooden characteristics?

Jewel is described as "wooden" in several different ways, particularly by Darl. This is because Jewel seems so callous and uncaring. However, while he in fact does seem to despise his place amongst the Bundrens, his section of the novel shows that, as Addie's favorite, his love was solely for her, and in fact his love is quite profuse and unique. So while his stoic nature paints him as wooden to some in the family, the truth is that, like all of them, his inner perspective is quite distinct.
