Are there any connections to Jules Verne and Phileas Fogg?

They were both adventurers. but is there something else?

I think Jules Verne was attracted to the type of character that Fogg was: adventurous, intelligent, obsessive. An inspiration for the character was the real round-the-world travels of the American writer and adventurer William Perry Fogg.
