Why Emory?


It was my second trip to Emory. Sitting in a lecture room in White Hall, I only experienced a single doubt: hesitation about voicing a few of my opinions and, perhaps, interrupting Professor Robins’ Metaphysics class.

Speaking, eating, and being with undergrads in all majors, I got a sense of what it means to be a student at Emory. Well-rounded, highly intellectual, and driven, all of the students who provided their insights fostered a sense of comfort within me. Whether it was the intense energy coming from the Shabbat services at the Hillel on Friday night, or the teamwork of the Club Rugby team on McDonough Field, everyone was excited and passionate about their involvement.

On an academic note, Emory professors’ (and even President Wagner’s) office hours will be a bridge from the smaller school environment I am accustomed to. Furthermore, I am excited about Emory’s courses, which will both push and motivate me. In particular, I am deeply interested in the BBA program offered by the Goizueta Business School -- not only as a means of kick-starting my goal of becoming a talent agent, but also as a mechanism for maintaining myself as a diligent worker who thinks outside of the box.
