Skeleton

What are you most excited about or looking forward to in your college experience?

I stood face to face with a skeleton, Dooley, mounted on a black metallic tree. It seemed out of place with the sophisticated white marble walls and vibrant flowers, yet students passed by the statue, greeting the assembly of bones. Emory embraces the oddness of life, no matter how different. If Dooley can fit in, then why can’t I?

I want to dig deeper to understand Dooley—that is to say—the human body. Emory provides numerous opportunities for me to chase my passion. With the CDC and Emory Hospital right next door, internships and volunteer opportunities are abundant. Through Emory’s Study Abroad programs, I can travel to one of forty countries to gain new academic and cultural perspectives. I cannot wait to find new collaborators and companions among my peers, as we explore our options to contribute to the world.
