Hey Greta!

Woodrow Wilson was born in Virginia and raised in South Carolina. Wilson believed in the policies of racial segregation. He was a product of the South and in many way, wanted to reverse the humiliation that Southerners felt after the Civil War. By the time Wilson was in office, the Federal government was already integrated. Wilson felt blacks should be segregated as they were in Washington at the time. Wilson promptly authorized members of his cabinet to reverse this long-standing policy of racial integration in the federal government.
