The ropes on his wrists burn his skin. His skin is red and itchy. The plate of wood he is on is not smooth but full of splinters. His left arm is purple, bruised beyond comprehension. He lies still looking at the winging razor above him. It swishes back and forth, it looks cold and deadly.
