Contemporary Times

I have response paper due on whether Antigone is relevant to contemporary times or not.  I was wondering if anyone had an explanation for this.  Even a few facts about what makes a poem or short story is contemporary.

Hi Kelsy, Antigone is relevant to contemprary times because of her femminsit beliefs.

i think antigone is relevant to contemporary times because it brings out the conflict between tyrannical rule (represented by creon) and democracy (represented by antigone and haemon).
