Collectivism, simply put, is a political or economic theory advocating collective control especially over production and distribution; also : a system marked by such control. Emphasis on collective rather than individual action or identity.Different counties have systems that involve "collectivism" to varying degrees. China, for example, would have more collectivism than say the United States or Canada. Still, laws that govern schooling for children or attending jury duty might be seen this way.
