The reality is that the commandments of Animalism as they are first conceived are noble and speak to the concept of fairness to the animals. They do not factor in that some people desire power and wish to "feather their own nest" as it were. The animal commandments change to help the pigs live a better life; they do this changing at the cost of the liberty and fairness to the other animals of Animal Farm.
