Animals do work, and working animals do work very hard. I do not, however, think that animals live lives of misery. Are there abused and neglected animals? Yes, there are. But for the most part, farmers with working animals both value and care for them.

The animals are beaten and whipped but they are slaves. They were purchased and or breed into the life they were in, and so therefore they are slaves. This is similar to slaves in the 1800’s most were treated well but yes some where beaten.
