Okay, things are worse after the rebellion. I'm going to go with the end result. Old Major's dream of a socialist animal utopia never came to be. By the end of the book, pigs were living like humans and tormenting their fellow animals worse than farmer Jones ever did. Many of the animals who hoped for Old Major's dream were either killed or run off. The farm was reduced to more of a camp where animals worked for free until they died never to share in the fruits of their labour.
