In the beginning, the animals rebelled against the tyranny of Farmer Jones. The animals rebel against being slaves to humans. By the end of the book, Farmer Jones had been replaced by another oppressor in the form of Napoleon the pig. Napoleon even wore Farmer Jones's clothes and the animals are once again living in servitude.
