how does the book relate to africa? specifically, South Africa?

Well I suppose this could relate to the whole apartheid and post-apartheid era. I am reluctant to call anyone an animal, even n metaphor. Suffice to say that even after apartheid was over black South Africa has had power struggles, decent and tribal strife. The dream of racial harmony has largely eluded South Africa. The issues are far more complicated than the Animal Farm allegory though.
