How does Squealer influence the other animals?

Squealer is Napoleon's propaganda machine. He manipulates and twists the truth to make Napoleon sound right all the time. Squealer is able to manipulate the animals in all kinds of ways. Each Sunday, for example, Squealer assures the other animals, by reading statistics from a sheet of paper, that their efforts are increasing production many times over. These are all lies and half-truths but the animals can do nothing but believe Squealer. They can scarcely remember life before the Rebellion.
