It seems to me that Boxer especially is subject to peer pressure in his interactions with Napoleon and his followers. Boxer's intense desire to be an integral part of a thriving community fits well with Napoleon's power-hungry interests, so he takes advantage of the situation and influences Boxer accordingly.

And this has to do with the sheep to?
