The pigs had violated the most sacred of commandments ''all animals are equal''. They changed it to "ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS." THis demonstrates that the rebellion was a failure because of the intrinsic corruption in the heart of the leaders like Napoleon. Absolute power corrupts absolutely no matter how genuine the cause was to begin with.
