An external conflict would be the fact that they are trapped by the tide and unable to leave.....

An example of an internal conflict would be Vera's reluctance to trust Lombard when they become the final two.... can you blame her for being conflicted?

External-

"He may be dangerous. In my opinion it would be well for us to leave this place as soon as possible. I suggest that we leave to-night."

Rogers said:

"I beg your pardon, sir, but there's no boat on the island."

"No boat at all?"

"No, sir."
