The Inspector reacts to Sheila's story by saying that she is not entirely responsible, but “partly to blame. Just as your father is.”

Eric doesn't respond so much to Sheila's story, as he does to the fact that Eva Smith had changed her name after being fired, and that he knew her.

Sorry, the above reaction was Gerald's. I'm confusing names here.

Eric's reaction is to want to talk to the Inspector. His father attempts to get him to go to bed becasue of the amount he's had to drink, but Eric insists upon staying up. The Inspector responds to his anxiousness by telling him to wait his turn.

after listening the whole incident happened to eva smith at milwards by the inspector,sheila partly blames herself for what had happened to eva. shiela admitted that the action she took against eva was harsh. at milwards shiela tried a dress which was not looking suitable on her and eva smith who was a emlpoyer at milwards, smiled at shiela and she thought that eva was making fun of her
