Eric and Gerald both had a affair with Eva Smith/Daisy Renton. Write about which of these two men you have more sympathy for and why.

I actually have little sympathy for either man, but if I had to choose one of them, it would be Eric. Gerald was already involved with Sheila, thus, he not only took advantage of the girl.... he also let down the girl he supposedly was thinking about marrying. Eric's actions were wrong..... but they were not malicious..... he avoided his responsibilities, but he had no ties to anyone else.
