Gerald and Mrs. Birling are both capitalists. Both of these families are wealthy, and both of these families profit from business. They believe in hard work, expansion, and profits. In the case of Mrs. Birling, I believe she came from more money than she married into.

Mrs. Birling is an Aristocrat she was born into money but I think that Gerald and Mr. Birling are capitalist for they believe in hard work since they work hard for it .
