All the Pretty Horses

foil

i need to respond to the following prompt on the book all the pretty horses by cormac mcarthy

if you have read the book, great, if not i was just wondering how you would go about setting up this paper since it must be 3 pages in length it needs a inro and conclusion paragraph along with three body paragraphs, im having a hard time identifying the topic that each body paragraph should be or what i could make them. im also having a hard time coming up with a directed good thesis, topic sentence and specific details from the book. I guess im just stuck on were to start. here is the prompt:

In a literary work a minor character, often known as a foil, possesses traits that emphasize, by contrast or comparison, the distinctive characteristics and qualities of the main character . for example, the ideas or behavior of the minor character might be used to highlight the weaknesses or strengths of the main character. write an essay in which you analyze how the relation between the minor character and the major character illuminates the meaning of the work.

Minor character could be Blevins and major character could be John Grady

check out the link before; it places Blevins as Grady's foil.
