Chris is the Kellers' youngest son and in his thirties. He describes himself as a loyal man, affectionate, and a good listener. He loves books, and claims that unlike his father, he is not materialistic, although he belies this claim when he tells Ann that he'll make a lot of money after their engagement.

Chris doesn't like conflict and avoids it at all costs. It's hard to figure out exactly what he knows and what he isn't aware of because he's always playing down to people in order to keep the peace. If he doesn't fess up being aware of things they simply don't exist; he internalizes anguish and uncertainty.
