does the play associated with life of the playwright "Mieller"?

I do not believe this work is at all autobiographical. Miller did state that this would be his last attempt at writing a play if it failed.

Hey, the play is not based on or related to Miller's personal life. Miller's mother- in-law found a newspaper article about something that happened similar to the play he would write.
