Basically Chris was the leader of his company. He lost a lot of men and feels profound guilt.

Basically Chris was the leader of his company. He lost a lot of men and feels profound guilt.

Chris being the leader of his people was very much closer to his men .They used to live like a family and he was very attached to them. By the death of so many people in his group he was feeling sad as well as accountable.
