Alice in Wonderland

Alice's Adventures of Wonderland

In Wonderland , the normal order of things is typically upset or reversed. How is this idea demonstrated at the beginning of the chapter , in the scene between Alice and the White Rabbit?

Alice did not expect to see an anxiety-ridden rabbit with a pocket watch and vest hopping around. This runs counter to what Alice is used to in her reality. The rabbit represents the adult world and Alice cannot help but follow the rabbit to her adventure.
