Helen is cutting Randy's hair and unexplicably becomes disoriented. From the text, we can infer that Randy's similarity to her husband overwhelmed her... Lib's analysis is based upon the fact that Helen misses her husband, something that created a hallucination. Lib believes that Helen's loyalty to her husband and her need for comfort and companionship overwhelmed her.
