Chapter 8, T or F, Jethro hated to think of the Battle of Shiloh, not only because of Tom, but because it seemed to have been an empty victory.

True, when Jethro learns of the victory at Antietam, he thinks of the Battle of Shiloh and their similarities. Yes, both were victories, and yet, they do not signify the end of the war.
