What have we found out about how the three W’s communicate? What other abilities do they have that are not human?

I believe they communicate by thought though I can't recall the chapter. I know Mrs. Who quotes other writers because it is so difficult to verbalize for her. The three w's are able to travel through dimensions of time and take other shapes.
