In INDIA why are girls not given freedom?

This is a pretty involved question. It really depends on what part of the social demographic you are referring to. Educated women in middle class and more affluent situations tend to have rights similar to the Western world. Your broader question refers to much of the population which still lives under a patriarchal culture. Women with low or no education have fewer options in life.
