Eddie warns Catherine not to tell anyone about their illegal guests because it might just get them caught (Eddie and Beatrice might get into trouble as well). The story he told was about a fourteen year old boy who was said to be a stool pigeon for turning in his uncle. When the boy's father and brothers found out what he'd done they dragged him down the stairs, shoved him into the street, and then they spit on him. The boy was never seen again.
