Satisfaction would depend upon the the members of the audience, or in this case.... the reader. How do you see Eddie's character? How do you feel about his actions? Do you feel sorry for him?

I personally felt sorry for Eddie. I didn't so much disagree with his actions, as I did his motives. In essence, I believe that this was exactly what Miller was looking to do when he wrote the play.... make us question the motives. It wasn't about legality, it was about morality.
