Consider other plays written by Arthur Miller, such as Death of a Salesman and All My Sons. Especially consider The Crucible which, like A View from the Bridge, explores themes of justice and the consequences of naming names.

A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, set in Chicago in the 1950s, could invite comparison to Miller’s work in showing a family’s struggles in a different mid-century American city.
