actually i am planning to do thesis on this paper. i've choosen the title love and violence. but i am facing problem in ststement of problem, so what would you suggest?
How about something like this,
"Love and violence hold precarious positions in Khaled Hosseini's A Thousand Splendid Suns. The characters are passionate. Love and violence exist within a highly combustible context that is driven by religion and patriarchal power."
There is evidence throughout the novel that love and violence coexist, but that, in the end, love triumphs. Rasheed's violence and the violence of the government are vicious and unending;though violence does take the lives of some, it does not destroy the spirit of the people to whom their violence is directed. Love is empowering, and it embraces those who place their trust in its power.
