How do Laila’s feelings about leaving Kabul contrast with her parents’ feelings?

Laila wants to leave Kabul because Tariq has already gone. Her parents, however, disagree with each other over what path to take, as Hakim wishes to get out of Kabul, and Fariba wants to stay. Unfortunately, the decision to leave comes to late, and a bomb kills both of Laila's parents, leaving her alone.
