Streetcar prompt

When we read and study a play, we want to be offered something new - not absolutely new, perhaps because human nature doesn't change very much, but at least a new combination of human traits, a new illustration of how human beings behave, of just how much they are capable of - in any one of the innumerable directions.

Discuss A Streetcar Named Desire. Point out the new views or new experiences this work offers and the ways in which these views or experiences help (or do not help) to make the work appealing to you.

This is a prompt for my AP Eng. class. I've got a few ideas but I want to hear your views on this. Thanks.

The work is appealing because of its focus on the themes of fantasy versus realism, and the conflict that this sets up between Blanche and Stanley.
