Quote" on savargery in the play

Hi,
for my drama assesment i have been asked to explain teh quote " we are all civilized people which means we are all savages at heart but odserving a few amenities of civilized behaviour"  by william.  then i am to explain it in comparison to stanley in scene 10
if anyone could help that would be wonderful

It means that underneath everyones normal cilivised behaviour, we are just basic savages for example in Stanley's case he is the stereotypical alpha-male, sort of like a caveman.

i think one must also mention that stanley comes across very overtly animalistic and that this is contrasted with blanches savagery, which appears in a much more disguised, yet no less viscious form
