Why does George start breathing (yelling at) Beneatha about her beliefs?

In essence, Beneatha is insulting everything George stands for.... his family position, his success, and his social mobility. George doesn't see things in the same way Beneatha does..... he feels as if he's risen above his roots. She sees him as turning his back of where he came from.
