A Passage to India

"a passage to india" being a "thesis novel" as per E.M.Forsster??

explanation about thesis novel, in part one, Aziz put forth a question." can English be friends with Indians" and in the end, the result can be seen. How the whole novel can be justified either in support or denying of the question?

You have to feel for Aziz. The guy is really nice! So then, can a nice guy like Aziz straddle two worlds, the Indian and the British Indian? Race, friendship and nationalism become the central theme here. I think you certainly can see this novel through this lens. Aziz and Fielding have a friendship that isn't able to bridge the cultural gap. One wonders if they imposed this gap or if it is organic and uncrossable.
