The mood gets more stressful as the boys are hungry and push on into war ravaged territory. The RUF and the government forces are scattered around. They will take the boys as soon as they are caught or join because they are so hungry. There is such a broad selection of imagery but I might consider the imagery of guns and violence coming into focus during these chapters.
