War is a frightening enterprise and people do not have to even see that action to be frightened. Yet the truth is, if one is going to die from the war being scared to death is not nearly as impressive as being wounded and then dying. No one wants to be completely affected by the war (for example, the recurrence of nightmares after a war), but if one must be, one should at least have a battle scar, a wound.
